In 2019, the museum suffered a devestating flood that resulted in the closure of the building. A global pandemic and the compounded effects of a decades long drought slowed efforts to renovate the museum. After a lengthy hiatus, the Powell Museum & Archives has finally received the much needed care it deserves and Glen Canyon Conservancy is proud to open its doors once again.

Explore new exhibits and some beloved museum originals. Your adventure through Powell Country awaits!

We have an unknown distance yet to run, an unknown river to explore.
